For Hosts & Partners
Access, in plain sight.
Most access companies keep the rules, the paperwork, and the fine print behind a program you have to buy. We do not. Here is what you actually need to know, what the ADA asks of you, and the money it can save you, laid out plainly. The best access was never a program to sell you. It is a bigger idea, and we would rather build it with you, in the open.
Know the Ground
What the ADA actually asks of you.
It is simpler than the gated programs make it sound. Places open to the public are expected to provide effective communication for Deaf and hard of hearing guests, and it is the host’s responsibility, never the guest’s.
Effective communication
A qualified interpreter, on site or by video, so your Deaf and hard of hearing guests receive everything that is said, as clearly as everyone else. That is the standard, and it is yours to provide.
At no cost to the guest
The cost of access belongs to the host or venue, never the guest, and it is never added to a ticket or a bill. We make meeting that responsibility easy, and beautiful.
The Overlooked Upside
Providing access can earn you a tax credit.
Here is what a gated compliance program will never lead with, because it costs you less with them. The federal Disabled Access Credit (IRS Form 8826) lets an eligible small business, generally one with $1 million or less in gross receipts or 30 or fewer full-time employees in the prior year, claim half of eligible access spending between $250 and $10,250, for up to a $5,000 credit each year. And the IRS lists qualified interpreters as an eligible expense. A separate federal deduction covers physical barrier removal. We will gladly document what you spend on access so your team has what it needs.
This is general guidance, not legal or tax advice. Confirm the details with your own attorney or tax professional.
Our Promise
The LAS Standard
Others promise to cover your liability. We promise your guests will be part of the moment. Every event is held to The LAS Standard: the right team prescribed for your room and not guessed, prepped against your run of show, Deaf-informed and Deaf-led, fully insured, and a real welcome for your guests. Compliance handled, hospitality delivered.
Let’s make it easy.
Tell us about your event. We will design the access, hold it to The LAS Standard, and help you document it. A real person reads every request.
