Accessibility Statement

Accessibility at Lagundo ASL Services

Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. It is our craft. As a Deaf-Led, CODA-Founded company, we hold our own website and app to the very standard we bring to every stage, so this experience works beautifully for everyone who visits.

Accessibility is art.

Our Commitment

We build and test this platform to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act’s expectation of effective communication. Accessibility work is ongoing, and we treat any barrier as a defect to fix.

What Is Built In

Access, engineered into the platform.

Full keyboard operation

Every action works without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.

Screen readers and braille

Clean, semantic markup so screen readers and refreshable braille displays read the page the way it is meant to be read.

Live updates announced

Messages, status changes, and alerts are announced to assistive technology as they happen.

Contrast and scalable text

Strong color contrast throughout, and text that scales with your device settings without breaking the layout.

Reduced motion honored

Turn on 'reduce motion' and we hold still: no motion where you have asked for none.

Forms that guide you

Clear labels, required-field markers, and readable error messages on every form.

Captions & Transcripts

Written by people, never left to a machine.

Any audio or video we publish includes human-written captions and a transcript. We do not rely on automatic captions alone.

Ongoing Work

If it does not work for you, that is on us.

We are continually improving. If something does not work with your assistive technology, we treat it as our defect to fix, and we want to hear about it.

In Progress

What we are building next.

This is a living statement. Access is never finished, so here is what we are actively working on, updated as we go.

  • American Sign Language video, so our own content speaks in ASL, not only in text and captions.
  • A Day and Night mode across the website, so you can choose the view that is easiest on your eyes, matching our app.
  • Ongoing conformance to WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the website and the app.
  • On-screen, in-frame access as the standard we are building for live events, so the performer reaches every seat.
  • Real-device screen reader testing, including VoiceOver on iPhone and iPad.
  • Continued accessibility improvements across our portals and app.

This list is shaped by you. If something here matters to you, or something is missing, tell us. We build for what our Deaf and hard of hearing community actually needs.

For Our Community

Deaf or hard of hearing? Know your access.

Your rights in plain language, plus a message you can send to request an interpreter from any venue, event, or clinic, in one tap.

Tell us what got in the way.

Email info@lagundoaslservices.com or call (702) 469-4204. Tell us what you were trying to do and what stopped you, and we will respond promptly.
