Do we have to provide an interpreter for a Deaf employee?
Generally, under the ADA, employers with 15 or more employees provide reasonable accommodation for qualified employees with disabilities, which can include a sign language interpreter for meetings, trainings, and key events. We make providing it simple. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Can you interpret hybrid and virtual meetings?
Yes. We provide in-person interpreters for the room and video remote interpreting (VRI) plus remote captioning for hybrid and virtual events, so on-site and remote participants are equally included.
How many interpreters does a conference need?
It depends on the length and format. Long or high-content sessions typically need a team so interpreters can rotate and stay sharp. You never have to guess. We prescribe the right team and explain why.
